Fledgling R&D practice in this very profitable tax team is looking for a dedicated specialist to take the reins and start to build a separate function. The client base of this well managed and very successful accounting firm is diverse and includes technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and property, providing a solid platform from which to source work. The projects the partners have already been asked to advise on have included tech and pharma and there is a clear need which is proving difficult to satisfy given other demands on the partners' time. It is evident that a dedicated specialist would not only be able to source work immediately from within existing tax clients but also market the offering to the wider firm. The promotion of a separate R&D practice has the full backing not only of the tax partners but also the management board and the wider partnership.
