Our client is a highly respected Family Office offering a genuinely different working environment from accountancy/law firms. You'll join a close-knit, supportive team responsible for the management and administration of a varied portfolio of family and charitable trusts, working directly on complex and interesting client affairs while enjoying a more personal and less commercial culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys trust compliance, accounting and administration and wants to take ownership of their work in an environment where quality, client service and technical expertise are valued above utilisation targets.

The Role

You will be involved in all aspects of trust and estate administration, acting as a key member of the team responsible for ensuring the smooth running of a diverse portfolio of trusts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing trust accounts and tax returns
  • Assisting with inheritance tax and capital gains tax compliance
  • Managing trust cashflows, distributions and beneficiary payments
  • Handling day-to-day trust administration and correspondence
  • Liaising with beneficiaries, advisers, stockbrokers and other professional contacts
  • Supporting trust restructuring, distributions and beneficiary events
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance obligations are met

The portfolio includes both family and charitable trusts, providing broad exposure across a range of structures and technical matters.

About You

We're keen to speak with individuals who have previous trust and estate experience gained within a private client, trust, family office or professional practice environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience preparing trust accounts and tax returns
  • Knowledge of trust and estate administration
  • An understanding of trust taxation, CGT and IHT matters
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage workloads effectively and work collaboratively within a small team

Why Apply?

  • No onerous timesheets
  • Varied and interesting trust portfolio
  • Supportive, collaborative team environment
  • Opportunity to develop your technical trust expertise
  • Long-term career opportunity within a well-established Family Office
  • A role where quality of work and client service genuinely come first

If you're looking to step away from the pressures of a traditional practice environment and join a team where you can focus on delivering exceptional trust and estate services, we'd love to hear from you.
